How to Fit Your Architrave
-
Cut to Size
-
Each length is designed to repeat seamlessly, so you can join pieces together to achieve the exact length you need.
-
Measure carefully and cut where required.
-
-
Prepare
-
We recommend priming your lengths and applying the first coat of paint before fitting.
-
If you’ve chosen our pre-painted collection, you can skip this step.
-
-
Fix in Place
-
Apply wood glue along the back of the architrave.
-
Press firmly against the wall or frame.
-
For added security, especially with our larger style like Willa and particularly when creating a pelmet, use slim finishing nails to hold it securely in place.
-
-
Finish the Joins
-
Cover joins with wood filler if desired (this step is optional).
-
Lightly sand for a smooth finish.
-
-
Final Coat
-
Apply your top coat of paint.
-
If you’ve chosen our pre-painted trims, you’ll receive a small pot of matching paint to touch up the filler and blend the join seamlessly.
-
✨ Tip: Because our profiles repeat perfectly, your design will flow beautifully, whatever the length.
